About us
Our medical department, which is comprised of the Department of Psychiatry, Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine, plays a wide range of roles. The medical practice consists of Departments of Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and the graduate research divisions are Departments of Psychiatry, Developmental and Geriatric Psychiatry, and Psychiatry for Parents and Children.

Our department has many experts with various mental disorders from childhood to old age. We are engaged in research, clinical practice and education, making the most of these advantages.
Research
We study the diagnosis, treatment, etiology, and pathophysiology of various mental disorders such as schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and dementia from a bio-psychosocial perspective.
